Magntic Proximity Switch
Magnetic proximity sensors/switches are non-contact position detection sensors. They detect objects using the magnetic property them. In other words, magnetic proximity sensors are specifically designed to work with magnets.
When it comes to detecting magnetic objects through non-magnetisable materials such as plastic, wood, or even aluminum, magnetic proximity sensors become extremely useful.
They are not only available in many size/package variants, but also have high mechanical stability in extreme shock/vibration conditions.
Principle
The principle of the reed switch is the same as that of the reed switch. The reed switch in the sensor is composed of two iron reeds placed in parallel and overlapping to form a gap. These two slender flat reeds will be plated with precious metals to ensure their optimal function. Precious metals Generally, rhodium or ruthenium is used. The two reeds are completely sealed on a glass tube filled with inert gas. When a magnetic field approaches (usually a permanent magnet), when the magnetism is large enough, they will attract each other. The contact will go from OFF to ON. There are no mechanical parts or electronic parts in the structure of this magnetic reed switch, so there will be no problems such as jamming or circuit damage. The contact life can reach millions of precise and high-speed operations each time. , this type of sensor is usually a set (sensor and magnet), most commonly used in door and window switch detection. The detection principle of the inductive switch detects the magnetic loss caused by the eddy current generated on the surface of the conductor through the influence of the external magnetic field. This detection method is to make the detection coil generate an AC magnetic field, thereby generating a conduction phenomenon.
